Fishing report March 2015
Fishing in March 2015 was mainly dedicated to inshore Popper fishing. Our clients from Germany, USA, Netherlands and France proved their skills and many great fish were caught but also some hard fights were lost.
Due to strong north winds, several days were extremely rough and coming back home after a fishing trip was sometimes adventurous and very wet. March is definitely not one of our favorite months although the fishing was great. Our clients caught Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Jack, Bluefin Trevallies, monster size Needlefish, African Pompano, Albacore & Bonitos, Grouper and Sharks among others. Again we have seen many fish being interested in our Poppers but left after following them until the boat, especially huge Roosterfish. Perfect fishing skills were needed to convince one of those majestic species to attack our lures. But when it happened the fight was gorgeous.
Tuna fishing in march was very tough and still now, in the beginning of April, tuna season is just right at our doorstep. We expect more tuna migrating into the Gulf of Chiriquí within the next weeks to present us some overwhelming feeding frenzies Panama is known for. Several Marlin have been caught as well. But the best months still are December and January.
Thank’s again to all our customers fishing with us in March without whom Big Game Fishing in Panama with Tropical Sportfishing Panama would not be possible.
