Fishing report February 2015
During the month of February we welcomed clients mainly from the US and from Europe. Overall this month also represents the high season for fishing in Panama.
Fishing again was great and we had unforgettable days where we had several Marlin and Sailfish strikes a day. We were also lucky to run into early Yellowfin Tuna feeding frenzys catching tunas up to 100 pounds. Our customers also caught Roosterfish, Snapper, Amberjack, Needlefish, Shark and different kinds of Jacks on Poppers and with live bait.
Sometimes we struggled with the wind blowing from the north but never had problems reaching our fishing grounds. At Hannibal Bank or Montuosa Island fishing was at its best with many Black and Blue Marlin and Sailfish being caught with lures or on live bait.
Inshore fishing with Popper and live bait always produced several Roosterfish and Cubera Snappers as well as Jacks. As always, a swimming Blue Runner behind the boat would find a hungry predator.
We would like to thank all customers fishing in February with Tropical Sportfishing Panama and are looking forward to welcoming new fishermen in march from all over the world.
And again, some of the best pictures we made while fishing here in Panama- hope you enjoy it.
